The archaeological visit is timed at about 30 minutes. Reserve online, enter from Piazza San Clemente, arrive 10 minutes early, and follow the one-way signs. Photography and video are prohibited throughout the church and excavations; food, drinks and bulky luggage are not permitted. Current rules and hours can change, so check the official basilica website before visiting.
